The More & Cope Story: Beauty as a Way of Life
At More & Cope, we believe your home should do more than just house your belongings—it should tell your story. We believe in curated spaces that reflect your beliefs, your culture, and your history.
In a world of mass-market, disposable furniture, we are reclaiming the idea that what we bring into our homes creates the warmth that draws families together. Our name is a tribute to two figures who understood that beauty is not a luxury, but a necessity for the human soul.
The Scholar’s Study: St. Thomas More
Our first namesake, Saint Thomas More, was a Renaissance scholar who famously balanced a life of high-stakes statesmanship with a deep devotion to his home. To More, a house was a sanctuary for learning and "beautiful things."
He created an environment where intellectual curiosity and aesthetic grace lived side-by-side. From him, we take our love for the "foundational" piece—the sturdy oak desk, the archival bookshelf, and the timeless silhouette that stands as a testament to history and character.
The Healer’s Garden: St. Marianne Cope
Our second namesake, Saint Marianne Cope, spent her life caring for the "outcasts" on the island of Molokai. Amidst suffering, she did something radical: she planted flowers.
Mother Marianne knew that cleanliness, order, and color were essential to human dignity. She brought bright scarves, pretty dresses, and music to people who had been told they didn't matter. She understood that beauty makes people feel loved. From her, we take our commitment to the "softer" side of the home—the tactile fabrics, the vibrant ceramics, and the belief that every corner of a room should offer peace.
We founded More & Cope because we saw a gap. People are tired of the "cookie-cutter" home but often find high-end antiques unattainable.
We curate unique, elegant, and timeless pieces at prices that don't break the bank for young couples and growing families. We find the stories hidden in vintage patinas so you can begin writing your own.
Welcome to More & Cope.
